The Safety-8 Protocol
Global Service Adventures provides outdoor education and adventure trips to Jamaica. We have been operating for over 20 years, ensuring students' physical as well as emotional safety with our "controlled independence" philosophy. This means team leaders will be assigned to groups throughout the trip no matter how long or short it may last!
Accommodation
Our team conducts stringent risk assessments to ensure all our accommodations meet and exceed safety requirements.
Transportation
We only transport students in registered and approved vehicles driven by licensed, experienced drivers. Our friendly team greets your students at the airport, regardless of flight delays.
Healthy Meals & Drinking Water
We love to prepare scrumptious local cuisine full of fresh meat, fruits, and vegetables. We also cater to vegetarians, celiacs, and a whole range of dietary requirements.
Insurance
Travel insurance is a must-have for all of our travelers. You can choose your own plan or get the standard "cancel for any reason" option from us, but you'll need to buy it before travel begins.
Supervision
We are here to offer 24 hours, 7 days a week support, and always here to help your students. Our in-country and on-the-ground support team have been carefully picked and ready with whatever they need every step of the way.
Local Knowledge
All groups are assigned a Trip leader and support staff for the duration of the trip. No student is left alone. They are always with a staff member, part of a group, or assigned to a buddy. We call this "controlled independence."
Community Service Projects
We keep track of how our projects are going. We look at them closely to make sure they are working well and that students and the community are getting the maximum benefit.
On Call
We offer 24/7 support and are always available to parents and loved ones back home, night or day if there is an emergency.
