Marketing, Entrepreneurship & Brand Jamaica
Trip Overview
Few countries of Jamaica’s size carry a brand footprint as large. Reggae, Usain Bolt, Blue Mountain coffee, Appleton rum and the colors green, gold and black are recognized on every continent. This nine day program asks how that happened, and what students of business can learn from it.
Working alongside national agencies, founders and creative entrepreneurs, students examine how cultural authenticity becomes commercial value. They move from the boardrooms and incubators of Kingston to the lifestyle and tourism economy of the west coast, building a clear, evidence based view of how Jamaican brands are positioned, protected and sold to the world. The program is designed to take students well beyond the tourist gaze and into the working machinery of Brand Jamaica.
