    Trip Overview

    Discovery, Education and Conservation of Marine & Animal WildLife in Jamaica

    Volunteer alongside conservationists to help preserve several UNESCO-designated World Heritage Sites and their unique ecosystems. There will be opportunities for you to see the world-famous sites such as "The Underwater City of Port Royal" that have been featured in many popular films such as Pirates of the Caribbean.

    Learn how the ocean can be protected with governmental, organizational and community action. Immerse in the natural beauty of this island of Jamaica as you explore hidden beaches and snorkel in crystal clear waters.

    Get ready to go outside of your comfort zone with high-adventure activities, such as ziplining, scuba diving, and snorkeling. View reefs filled with brilliant fish and marine life. Help local NGOs conserve and protect Jamaica's marine and native wildlife.

    Community Service

    35 Service Hours. Work alongside local environmental conservationists and NGOs as you aid in their community outreach campaigns.

    Hands-on Learning

    Students will acquire extensive knowledge of Marine biology as they will be guided by our partners and experts in the field of marine conservation.

    Program Highlights

    Volunteer at an animal sanctuary/zoo, home to iguanas, monkeys, birds, crocodiles, and much more
    Meet local leaders and NGOs implementing sustainable intervention programs
    Snorkel and dive in crystal clear water, swim among aquamarine life
    Tour Bob Marley Museum and feel the spirit and legend of the father of Reggae
    Volunteer among other passionate ocean conservationists
    Earn your PADI dive certification
    Spot dolphins, turtles, stingrays, and tropical fish on your adventure
    Aid in the reduction of ocean and beach contamination

    Accommodation

    Your home base is located in the picturesque hills, overlooking Kingston city. This community which was once a sugar estate now has huge homes where many professionals and retirees live with their families.

    There's also wildlife such as birds flitting about and chattering and also lots of opportunities for jogging and hiking to let you enjoy the outdoors.

    Students will share comfortable, gender-segregated, air-conditioned dorm-style rooms with shared bathrooms. The menu served at our home base is authentic traditional Jamaican meals. They're delicious, fresh, and made with love!
